Product & how it works

Balysta is an AI platform for financial-statement analysis. It extracts, structures, standardizes, and consolidates balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements from PDFs, then calculates the KPIs you need for interactive analysis. Its AI assistant, Lens, supports interpretation and validates the integrity and arithmetic consistency of the data. Built for credit and finance teams – funds, banks, asset managers, fintechs, insurers, cooperatives, M&A advisors, and family offices.

For teams that analyze financial statements at scale. Receivables funds (FIDCs), securitization firms and credit managers standardize balance sheets across dozens of assignors and portfolio companies; banks and cooperatives speed up the credit pipeline; fintechs and creditechs scale origination; M&A, valuation and due diligence advisors consolidate statements from many companies into one model; audit teams cut data-preparation time. In every case, Balysta removes the manual data entry and delivers validated, analysis-ready data.

You upload a PDF – native or scanned, in virtually any layout. Balysta reads statements across multiple years, handles both parent-company (controladora) and consolidated (consolidado) views, and correctly interprets different value notations – parentheses, minus signs, D/C markers, and thousands and decimal separators. It then maps everything to a standardized chart of accounts, producing structured, review-ready data in seconds instead of hours of manual entry.

Balysta reads statements in essentially any format, then standardizes them by mapping to the CVM/DFP chart of accounts – the Brazilian reference standard. That mapping is what makes statements from different companies and periods directly comparable.

Generic OCR returns raw, unstructured text, and spreadsheets require error-prone manual re-keying. Balysta returns structured, standardized, analysis-ready financial data with built-in integrity and arithmetic-consistency checks plus KPI analytics – designed for financial accountability, not just text capture.

Balysta computes the core indicator groups automatically:

  • Liquiditycurrent ratio, quick ratio, working capital
  • Leveragedebt composition, gross debt to assets, third-party capital participation, fixed assets to equity
  • Profitabilitygross, EBIT, and net margins
  • ReturnROE, ROA
  • Activityasset turnover

All with interactive graphs, and you'll soon be able to define your own custom KPIs directly in the app. The Lens AI assistant then helps interpret the results.

Balysta prepares the basis for your credit analysis: it extracts and standardizes the financial statements (CVM/DFP), validates arithmetic consistency, and calculates liquidity, leverage, profitability, return, and activity KPIs. The credit decision and opinion stay with you – Balysta removes the hours of data entry and organizing that come before it.

Yes. Every document carries a history with the author, timestamp and previous value of each change – who changed which account, when, and from what to what – grouped per save and including Balysta's own automatic steps, from upload to confirmed standardization. The editor also has auto-save, undo/redo and restoring a single statement to its original extraction.

Balysta is available in Portuguese (Brazil), English, and German.

Documents, companies and analyses are shared across the workspace, and editing is serialized per document: two people never overwrite the same statement. Every plan includes a number of working seats (admin and member) plus a separate number of viewer seats.

Yes. Your documents are never used to train third-party foundation models – we hold contractual guarantees to that effect with the providers that process your statements.
